What Polyglot Tool is
Polyglot Tool is an independent web product that brings together focused utilities for translation, subtitles, documents, localization and text review. The goal is to solve concrete jobs with specialized tools rather than hiding every workflow behind one generic interface.
How files are processed
Not every tool uses the same architecture. Browser-based subtitle workflows can read and transform content locally on the device. Document Translator is a server-side workflow: the file is uploaded to Polyglot Tool infrastructure and processed with models hosted there. Each tool page is expected to describe its actual behavior; we do not use the word “private” as a substitute for a technical explanation.
What we publish and how it is reviewed
Editorial guides are tied to real product behavior, formats, privacy, compatibility and workflows. Content prepared for a future capability stays outside the index until both product and publication gates pass. Claims about limits, formats and behavior are reviewed against the application state before material publication changes.
Product principles
- Prefer deterministic and local processing when it solves the job correctly.
- Explain format loss and limitations instead of claiming universal compatibility.
- Separate conversion, translation, cleaning and QA so each result can be verified.
- Do not claim metrics, rankings or guarantees that have not been measured.
